Public Skate: Monday to Friday 11:15-12:45pm (*Helmets are mandatory)

Public Swim:  Monday to Friday 1:30-3:00pm, Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm (*Ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water)

Bobby Vail Outdoor Rink: 8m-10pm. All Ages. (*Open every day weather and ice conditions permitting)

Tube Sliding:  We’ll be transporting participants on Monday the 4th to the E&P Senechal Center in Grand Falls to enjoy a day of Tubing.  Spots are limited so register early. Helmets are mandatory. $5/helmet rental. Time of depart 11am-5:30pm.  Cost: $25/under 16; $30/16+.

Kids Who Care-Community Volunteering: Tuesday the 5th, 8:30am-5:00pm.  For youth ages 11-13 who are interested in becoming more involved in their community. The camp will explore local opportunities for volunteerism and community involvement. Gives youth the opportunity to learn how important volunteers are to the community, and helps them get acquainted with local volunteer organizations. Must register in advance as there is limited spots. Cost:  $25

4-On-4 Slush Cup Youth HockeyWednesday the 6th 9am-5pm. Minimum 3-4 games. No goalies. Pond hockey nets. Up to 5 players on a team. Divisions: 8-10,11-12,13-14. $50/person, includes 4-on-4 games, off-ice activities, snacks and lunch. Helmets are mandatory. Must register in advance. Payment must be made at time of registration. Drop-off at 8am. Games begin at 9am. Pick-up at 5pm.

Skiing/Snowboarding at Crabbe Mountain: Thursday the 7th 8am-5pm. For ages 9-15yrs.  We’re hitting the hill at Crabbe Mountain.  Youth will enjoy a fun-filled day of skiing or snowboarding. A lesson is mandatory if a participant has never been on skis or a snowboard previously. Helmets are mandatory at Crabbe Mountain. Cost: $35-lift ticket, $50-equip rental & lift ticket. *Lesson available at no extra cost but must be requested at the time of registration. Transportation is included. Must register in advance…spots are limited.

Family Night Sliding Party – Thursday the 7th 6:00-8:00pm.  Enjoy one of the best Canadian past-times with family…and it’s free!  We’ll be lighting up the Golf Club hill and serving up hot chocolate and hot dogs, provided by Sobeys Woodstock.  A giant bonfire will keep you warm in between rides down the hill. The Woodstock Volunteer Firemen and our sponsor, Manulife Securities help make this event happen.


Glow Swim:  Friday the 8th, 6:30-8:00pm.  We turn out the lights and light up the pool with glow buoys.  Great family event.  Everyone will be given a glow bracelet. Admission is $5.




St. Patrick’s Day Dance Party:  Friday the 15th, 5:30-7:30 pm at AYR Motor Centre Gallery Room.  This event is for those intellectually & physically challenged adults. DJ John Allen entertaining; Refreshments will be provided. This is a FREE event!


Western Valley 50+ Bowling:  The Western Valley Recreation Association invites all those 50+ living in the river valley area to a fun bowling opportunity. Join us at the Woodstock Bowlacade on Thursday the 21st 10am – Noon. Cost is $5 which includes bowling, shoes and light refreshments.  Get out and be active and socialize with friends. Everyone is welcome!


Western Valley Achievement Games:  Host: Community of Perth Andover. Lots of activities will be offered to participants on Thursday the 21st. These games are designed for those adults with intellectual and physical challenges. Registration begins at 9am with Opening Ceremony scheduled for 9:50am.  This is a FREE event!  Mr Balloon will be attending to entertain everyone. Lunch will be provided as well as a social and dance to end the event.


Western Valley Jr. C Panthers: Will be hosting the Maritime Hockey North Junior Championship from the 27th to the 31st.  Tournament Pass: $40 or $5/game.
