Welcome! At Woodstock Recreation & Community Services we understand the valuable role leisure and recreation play in enhancing the lives of individuals and communities. We strive to offer a variety of recreation programs and events that meet the needs and interests of our community members all year long. From early years and youth to adult and elder programs, we've got something for everyone!

Swimming Lessons are offered for a 10 week session. Fall, Winter & Spring Classes.

PRESCHOOL

3-5 years for each class The Preschool Classes are a great way for your child to prepare for the Swimmer Levels. They learn how to swim on their front and back and they learn water safety.

SWIMMER

6-12 years for each class The Swimmer Classes give all around exposure to basic water movement, strokes, recovery in the deep water, diving and endurance building.

SWIM PATROL

8-12 years for each class The Patrol Classes are action packed, challenging and very profitable for any child interest in learning lifesaving skills.

Description:Artistic swimming is like dancing in the water! It is a hybrid of swimming, dancing, and gymnastics that involves artistic moves being performed in the water to music. Our club provides both introductory (recreational) as well as competitive artistic swimming. With practices focused on teaching boys and girls to be more comfortable with the water. They learn fundamental sculls, eggbeater, upside down skills, basic routine skills, in addition to other disciplines aimed at improving strength, coordination, creativity, aerobic endurance, flexibility, and team work.
